Open Deck Space (ODS) refers to the unused but available battery storage capacity in the ceiling of each LT350 canopy. Already connected to the grid, these canopies are designed for plug-and-play installation of battery storage cartridges, which can be easily added or removed to match demand. Each deployment stakes a claim to all future grid services revenue on that circuit, with ODS capacity tracked in MWh—representing the long-term battery storage revenue potential for LT350.

These cartridges are installed batteries designed to support behind-the-meter (BTM) applications such as solar generation and EV charging. Remarkably, BTM systems occupy less than 20% of the available ceiling space, leaving ample room for future expansion. Revenue generated from BTM operations helps finance the broader infrastructure buildout.

    EV Charging

    LT350’s ceiling-mounted EV charging cartridges are designed to seamlessly scale with rising EV demand across various sectors, including multifamily residential buildings, commercial office spaces, and transitioning gas stations. These modular systems not only provide flexible charging solutions but also help offset costly demand charges through integrated battery storage cartridges. Additionally, the system supports vehicle-to-grid (V2G) capabilities, further enhanced by the same battery cartridges to provide grid stability and maximize energy efficiency.

    Innovating the Last Mile

    LT350 transforms any parking lot into a mini distribution warehouse and a decentralized hub for EV and autonomous vehicle (AV) charging, communications, and logistics. It supports aerial and ground-based AV charging, enables package drop-off and pickup through integrated smart lockers, and facilitates data transfer via grid-edge computing cartridges—powering services like delivery, ride-hailing, and autonomous logistics.

    Aggregation Advantage

    A single LT350 PowerCanopy installed at a 2,000 square foot, 6-pump gas station delivers 3,200 kWh of battery storage capacity—equivalent to aggregating over 250 home batteries, each with a 12.2 kWh capacity. This highlights the efficiency and scale of commercial deployments compared to distributed residential systems, consolidating energy storage in a far more space- and cost-effective manner.
